Many people think that intelligence referred to language and math, the person who are not intelligent in those subjects is week and that will effect his/her life, and the child will left the school.
What if the child is intelligent in sport, drawing or music? Should you ignore them.
The teacher should educated to accept all kinds of intelligent and encourage them instead of left them. An effective teacher is the one that diversify his/her learning to meet all the students. For example in a math activity like the addition, the teacher can ask the students to draw four apple or to count the numbers of guitar or to write a short paragraph including counting the things that are present in the class. This activity meet different kinds of intelligent, drawing, language and musical.
The teacher should be aware about the different kinds of intelligent that are present in the class. Should encourage them and help them to become intelligent in the things that the students are week on it.
I like the theory of multiple intelligence. It helps the teacher a lot in and outside class. A teacher can decide what kind of materials to use for implementing a lesson, what examples to use in class, what kind of activities to bring for students to be engaged in, and many more. Students are always intelligent one way or another.

However, intelligence can be build and developed using the appropriate strategies; teachers can use different activities in the class to match all students different types of intelligence, also she can encourage students and help hem double their efforts in order to develop their intelligence.
ReplyDeleteIntelligence is not a label that you give to a students or a stereotype, so you either consider a student smart or not. That is totally wrong since students are of different personalities characteristics and qualities, so each student has something that makes him different and special in a way. So no one is not smart but it is the teacher's role to find out his intelligence
